So much for a monthly blog, am I right? You’ll have to forgive me I’ve been whisked away to every corner of the planet this summer and I tend to be tunnel visioned in my escapades.
The escapades in question:
In June I visited Cancun, Mexico for a week with a very special & recent graduate who taught me how to do a backflip into the pool. My execution was just short of perfection, but I trust it will be a useful party trick in my endeavors.
July came with Spanish heat, wine, and tapas as my best friend and I took a hot girl trip around Spain. We started in London visiting some old friends and new pubs, got to know a Gregg’s (vegan) sausage roll, and spent far too much money in Lush (my favorite organic English cosmetic store). We then made stops in; La Coruña tasting tapas and sight seeing some gothic towns, Cadiz where we visited the Tio Pepe Winery, hungover I might add, Malaga where we visited Picasso’s home and museums (my favorite stop of the trip), Alicante (my first ever topless beach experience- 10/10), Mallorca where we gathered pearls, of course, Barcelona, Valencia, and Gijon. We spent a bit more time in London to round out the trip tea tasting, navigating public transportation (foreign to a couple Americans!), and spending even more money at Lush. I came home with a few more tattoos and a tan only Spain could paint.
I definitely navigate travel with an activity focus. I love nothing more than trying new things, if that wasn’t clear enough!
But alas, the summer was not over & nor was my travel! I met a long time lover in Tampa, one of my favorite local oasis’ for beachside relaxation, immediately bolted over to New York City for one of a predicted many explorations of all of the nooks and crannies New York has to offer (more on this later), and finally took a road trip with an international friend to Seattle for one of my favorite concerts of all time: Hozier. We stopped along the way at a new National Parks, and couldn’t pass up a clam chowder in Pike Place Market.
As summer is my biggest break from my studies I take my adventuring very seriously! Now I am full on, nose in books, creating special moments with special men along the way. It was nice to open my schedule to taking on some new clients this summer. You all continue to surprise me & I can’t wait to see how we can warm up the coming cold months!
